Getz Named Hospital Foundation
Chair
In July,
2005, Pauline Getz was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors
of the Palomar Pomerado Health Foundation. The Foundation provides
philanthropic support to the Palomar Pomerado Health District.
Business Associate Joins Getz and
Associates
In September,
2005 Getz and Associates welcomed the addition of John A. Wenger to
the firm as an associate. Mr. Wenger shares the firm's focus on
general business and transactions.
Endre Algover has left the firm to
join a client company as in-house council. After working as an
associate for four years, Endre left in August 2005 to try out his
entrepreneurial wings.
Unity Award Salutes Local Hero
Pauline
Getz has been honored as a Community Hero at the 2005 Unity Awards.
The Community Hero Award is given once every two years to honor
those who contribute to the development of health and service programs
in the inland North County.
Getz Addresses April, 2006 Chamber
Luncheon
Pauline Getz
will be the featured speaker at the Poway Chamber of Commerce
luncheon on April 13, 2006. Her presentation will include an overview
of new legislation affecting businesses.

Economic Conference 2004
On January 29, 2004, Pauline Getz, as Chair of the Poway Business Park
Association,
moderated this economic conference, which included
workshops in areas of practical concern to businesspeople.
Topics included “Workers Compensation: Reducing Your Costs and
Understanding the System,” “Business and Tax Issues for 2004,” “Fire
and Safety Issues for Business,” and “Doing Business With and In the
City of Poway,” followed by a panel discussion on the Maturation of the
Poway Business Park.
The panel, moderated by Ms. Getz, featured
Poway City Manager Jim Bowersox, and Cal State San Marcos Professor Dr.
Glen Borodowsky.
Pauline Getz Begins Second Term as Chair of PBPA
In November 2003, Pauline Getz was elected to serve a second term as
Chair of the
Poway Business Park Association for 2004. The PBPA is an association of
businesses located in the South Poway Business Park. It was formed to
promote economic and business development in the Park.
